We’re now seeking a visionary Co-Founder & CTO to shape the technology strategy, architecture, and execution from the ground up.
The Role
As CTO & Co-Founder, you’ll design and build the core of our payments infrastructure—balancing scalability, security, and compliance. You’ll lead platform development, blockchain integrations, and API-first merchant solutions, while partnering with the founding team on product vision, regulatory readiness, and go-to-market strategy.
This is a leadership role at the intersection of technology and business, with the opportunity to influence the company’s culture, ecosystem impact, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Technical Strategy & Architecture
- Define and own the technology vision, architecture, and roadmap.
- Build scalable, high-availability systems for on-chain/off-chain settlement, merchant APIs, and real-time payments.
🔹 Product & Platform Development
- Lead development of wallets, merchant APIs, compliance engines, and paymaster flows.
- Oversee smart contract design, blockchain integrations (Ethereum, L2s, Stellar, etc.), and fiat on/off ramps.
- Implement fraud detection, compliance, and risk management layers.
🔹 Leadership & Team Building
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire an exceptional engineering team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, security, and rapid iteration.
- Collaborate with co-founders on fundraising, investor engagement, and strategic partnerships.
🔹 Compliance & Security
- Ensure enterprise-grade security and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with compliance/legal teams on KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, and licensing frameworks.
Ideal Background & Skills
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in payments, fintech, or blockchain infrastructure.
- Proven track record with distributed systems, APIs, and transaction platforms.
- Hands-on with smart contracts (Solidity, Rust, or Move), stablecoin protocols, and L2 scaling.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, ISO 20022, PSD2, and global payment standards is a plus.
Leadership & Startup DNA
- Prior founder or early-stage startup experience.
- Ability to balance innovation with regulatory and risk constraints.
- Flexible mindset: from coding in early days to scaling a 50+ engineering org.
