Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will develop backend components for all Bitfinex services, including the main trading platform, Lightning Network support, and blockchain integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Products & Features: Design and implement innovative features for professional-grade trading experiences using agile methodologies.
- Scalability: Build backend services that remain smooth, responsive, and real-time at scale, including APIs like the low-latency Bitfinex API.
- Security: Develop APIs and backend processes following the highest security standards to protect user data and transactions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Node.js/JavaScript development
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience building complex platforms and interacting with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
- Quick learner of new technologies
- Strong understanding of security best practices
Bonus Skills:
- Blockchain integration experience
- Familiarity with high-availability systems
- Knowledge of Ruby, Rust, or C++
- Experience with message queues (Redis), caching, and job queues
